girls' scholarship program

The key to women’s empowerment is access to education
When a woman is educated she is less vulnerable to the tactics of traffickers and has more economic opportunities to support herself and her family. Most of our students are refugees, having escaped war zones in Myanmar to pursue their dreams of higher education.
University Scholarship Program
Girls Be Change is a social business—a business that prioritises solving social problems, operating self-sufficiently, and reinvesting its profits into our mission.
Partnering with Daughters Rising (Thailand), our net profits will support their Girls’ Scholarship Programme, enabling ethnic minority young women from Myanmar and those living in refugee camps along the Thailand-Myanmar border to pursue a university education. This ripple effect — where empowering one woman empowers many — is at the heart of our mission.

for young women in Myanmar-Thailand refugee camps

Daughters Rising is an NGO that empowers at-risk girls and women to end trafficking and exploitation in their communities and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
Daughters Rising believes that collaboration and long-lasting relationships that respect local culture are the best ways to enact meaningful change. The NGO works with the most at-risk populations in northern Thailand - ethnic minority women and refugees in underserved communities. Their aim is to create as many opportunities as possible for the women and girls they support, in order to encourage them to become strong leaders and advocates. For this reason, Daughters Rising’s approach is multifaceted: education, employment and outreach.
