In September 2025, Girls Be Change led the Impact Expedition for Women Explorers in the Peruvian Amazon, in partnership with WWF Peru, Amazon Shelter, Hoja Nueva, and Goodwings.

This expedition invites women to explore the lush Amazon rainforest while engaging in conservation efforts alongside local wildlife experts. Participants had the chance to learn about the challenges facing indigenous communities and wildlife due to habitat loss and illegal trade. The Impact Expedition not only offers a unique adventure for women but also contributes directly to biodiversity conservation and community empowerment.

Co-hosted by Girls Be Change, Chai Lai Orchid, and Daughters Rising, this six-day retreat in December 2025 empowered and connected women changemakers as they reflected on the year and focused on self-care in the nature and wellness workshops.

Chai Lai Orchid is more than just a venue; it’s a sanctuary where stories of resilience come to life. Marginalized women find not only a safe haven but also opportunities for education and employment, all while caring for rescued elephants and preserving the beautiful indigenous Karen culture. As participants connected with the land and its people, they supported the vital initiatives of Daughters Rising, an organization dedicated to empowering at-risk girls and women.
