Rebeca Cabezas | Peru

Rebeca Cabezas is a Lima-based Peruvian lawyer with extensive experience in the legal sector, specializing in environmental and indigenous people issues. She worked in various institutions in both the public and private sectors, providing legal advice and expertise in forest control and surveillance, indigenous policies, environmental sustainability, and forest management. In addition to her professional legal work, Rebeca has complemented her academic legal training with the Master in Environmental Sciences in Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, equipping and enhancing her management skill and science-based knowledge in social projects . Her commitment to sustainable development and social justice is also reflected in her engagement in volunteer programs such as forest protection in ARBIO PERÚ and the Loretano Feminist Collective “Furia Charapa”. Rebeca is recognized for her dedication and interdisciplinary approach in finding legal solutions for environmental conservation and support for the indigenous communities of Peru.
